Relaxation through movement and guided partner work

This workshop offers a different way of relaxing — through gentle movement, touch, awareness and connection with others.

Over the years of facilitating dance workshops, I noticed that certain exercises naturally help participants let go of effort and arrive in a deeper state of relaxation. Drawing from my experience with bodywork inspired by Thai massage and somatic practices such as Body-Mind Centering®, I developed this workshop to explore relaxation through movement, touch, and connection.

What will we explore in this series of workshops?

  • Breath and body awareness practices
  • Self-massage and shaking exercises
  • Somatic movement explorations inspired by Body-Mind Centering®, focusing on sensation, perception, and ease
  • Yielding and being moved: allowing the body to receive support from gravity, the floor, and another person
  • Partner work based on trust, weight-sharing, and attentive touch
  • The balance between active movement and letting go, discovering more comfort and fluidity in the body

This is a space to relax, reconnect with the body, and explore movement in a respectful and non-competitive environment.

No previous experience in dance, movement, or bodywork is needed.

Agnieszka Pietruczuk

Agnieszka lives and moves in Brussels. She began dancing at the age of five, initially training in ballet before transitioning to contemporary dance. She completed several years of professional contemporary dance training, including a two-year instructor program, and received a diploma as a contemporary dance instructor certified by the Polish Ministry of Culture.

Over the years, her practice has expanded beyond dance technique into somatic approaches to movement, touch, and body awareness. She has studied Body-Mind Centering® and continues to explore embodied movement practices that deepen the connection between perception, movement, and presence.

Alongside her movement practice, she studies and practices Thai massage, drawing inspiration from its principles of attentive touch, weight transfer, assisted movement, and relaxation.
