Programme
Programme maybe subject to change.
This Valentine’s Edition will be a special workshop dedicated to exploring listening and communication with your dance partner — building trust, sharing, support, and sensitivity through movement.
Physical contact creates a different kind of communication: without intermediaries, without words—it’s communication and understanding through the body. It invites reflection on what I do, what I enjoy doing, what I want to do, and what I offer my partner.
On Valentine’s Day, we invite you to experience what it’s like to connect, to share time and attention with another person. How to listen, and follow.
It’s the perfect time to bring someone you care about — a partner, a friend, or a family member — and explore connection through dance. You don’t need to come as a pair to join; individual participants are equally welcome. We’ll work in pairs and groups, discovering how dance can build understanding, support, and shared joy and love in the grand sense.
This event is about gentleness and sharing, not about sexuality.
Saturday
14:00 – Workshop 1: Built on trust: partnered communication in dance (by Agnieszka)
This workshop focuses on developing practical skills for clear, embodied communication in partnered dance. We will explore how to listen through the body, recognize subtle cues, and respond with sensitivity rather than anticipation. Through breath-based awareness, eye contact, guided touch, leading and following with care, we will practice giving and receiving invitations, respecting boundaries, and taking responsibility for a partner’s safety. Working in pairs, trios, and as a whole group, we will strengthen trust, presence, and adaptability — essential tools for dancing with others in an attentive, supportive, and grounded way.
15:20 – Break and refreshments
15:40 – Workshop 2 (by Dmitrii)
Listening and hearing your partner is a very important relationship skill.
I suggest Steve Paxton’s body practice Small Dance, and through it, breathing, movement, and
shared momentum, I invite you to develop a sense of listening to each other.
Place your hand on your partner’s back and upper chest. Listen to their breathing, listen to their small dance, and join this movement with your own small dance.
